Susanne Hupfer is a Strategy Leader for the IBM Center for Applied Insights, a think tank that develops fact-based thought leadership on technology and business topics for innovation leaders. She is the lead analyst and author of numerous reports and articles, covering AI / cognitive computing, analytics, cloud, and mobile. She has presented these studies at major conferences, and her work has been covered in Forbes, CIO Insight, eWeek, and InfoWorld.

Previously, she worked in IBM Research as a Strategy Consultant, helping direct the IBM Center for Social Business, working on collaborative and social software projects, and commercializing research technologies. Prior to IBM, she co-founded a technology start-up and worked on product development for Lifestreams software, a trailblazing system that helped users seamlessly manage their electronic information in the cloud. She earned her doctorate in computer science from Yale University and has been awarded ten patents.
